Millie Pollock 1912-2014
NILES – Millie Pollock, 101, 1500 McKinley Avenue, died at 3:33 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Carbon, Pa., on Aug. 24, 1912, the daughter of Frank and Mary Sepich Ketchel.
Since 1984 she has made Shepherd of the Valley her home. She was a member of the Niles First Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed playing bingo and all activities at Shepherd of the Valley.
Millie is survived by two sons, Norman (Barbara) Pollock of Howland and Ronald (Patricia) Pollock of Niles; and a niece, Joyce Williams of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Pollock, whom she married April 12, 1937, and who died on Aug. 16, 1983; daughter, Marcia Mason, who died on Aug. 2, 2010; two brothers, Frank Kucel and Thomas Kucel; and a sister, Dorothy Ribarich.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Rusty Cowden of the Warren First Presbyterian Church will be officiating.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
