Anne Marie Hauck 1923-2014
NEWTON FALLS – Anne Marie Hauck, 90, of Newton Falls, entered to eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at the residence of her daughter.
Anne was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Vinko and Mary Medved Valentich. The family relocated to this area when Anne was a child.
She obtained her formal education in the Newton Falls school system and was a graduate of Newton Falls High School.
Following graduation, Anne was employed by the Ravenna Arsenal in the transportation department. While working at the arsenal, Anne would meet her future husband, Ernest F. Hauck, Jr. The couple were united in marriage on Sept. 29, 1945. The family grew to include their two children, Nancy and Ernest, III.
Although Anne would assist in providing for the family with her employment in the personnel department of North American Rockwell, she was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. Nancy and Bud knew that their mother was always there for them.
Anne was a longtime member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls. She had been very active in the church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Lutheran Church Women.
Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo and cards with her friends and flower gardening.
Memories of Anne will be carried on by her loving and caring family, her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Kenneth Hall; her son and daughter-in-law, Ernest “Bud” and Elaine Hauck; her adored grandchildren, Randy (Kim) Hauck, Amanda (Jeramiah) Schuh, Kenneth Hall, Jr. (Shannon), Michael (Brenda) Hall and Elizabeth (David) Veselich; her great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kiley, Joey, Jordan, Michael and Taylor; and her sister, Mary Yochman.
Preceding Anne were her husband, Ernest, Jr. on March 11, 1979; her parents and her brothers, Frank, Steve and Andy Valentich.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Eugene A. Koene officiating.
Anne will be laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery in Newton Township.
The family requests that material tributes may be made in memory of Anne to the Tridia Hospice in North Canton.
Arrangements for Anne were entrusted to the Borowski Memorial Home in Newton Falls.
