Diana Leancu 1954-2013

WARREN – Diana Leancu, 58, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center following a brief illness.

Diana was born on Dec. 7, 1954, in Warren, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Leancu.

”Diana was one of the most loving, giving and caring persons that the world has ever known. God gave her a special gift for helping other people in need, especially the elderly.”

Diana enjoyed cooking, gardening, antiquing, bonfires, animals, and at the end of the day, a tall cold one while listening to blues music. She loved her family and friends, but had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Diana was a graduate of Howland High School and employed through the years at GE, Avalon Inn and Giant Eagle, all in Warren.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Denise and Jim Ide; a brother, George T. Leancu; and her domestic partner of 25 years, Mark Davidson; and a cast of thousands of family and friends. She will be sadly missed by the Ide, Leancu, Davidson, Gregory, Capan and Conlin families, as well as many others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas W. Comerford.

She requested that no calling hours be scheduled. Diana had touched so many lives that calling hours could not possibly be long enough. We only request your prayers for her.

The world has lost a truly great woman, may she rest in peace, Amen.
