Victoria L. Holmstrom
BOARDMAN – Victoria Linda Holmstrom, 92, died Friday morning, Oct. 11, 2013, at Hospice House.
Victoria was born Feb. 6, 1921, in the Fosterville area of Youngstown, the daughter of the late Omo and Mary Pelanda.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, formerly of Foster Memorial Church.
During World War II, Victoria worked in California as a “Rosie the Riveter.”
Survivors include three daughters, Rae Holmstrom of Poland, Darlene Luck of Scott Depot, W.Va., and Kristina Glavies of Boardman; and six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond G. Holmstrom, and two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman, followed by funeral service at 3 p.m.
