Andrew Drahuschak 1920-2013

YOUNGSTOWN – Andrew Drahuschak, 92, of the city’s West Side, passed away Friday evening, Oct. 25, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center following a brief illness.

Andrew was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Carbon, Pa., the son of Michael and Mary Panella Drahuschak.

Andy served in the U.S. Army during Word War II.

He retired from Compco Metal Industries as a tool and die maker, and was a member of Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church.

Survivors include his wife, Olga Eodchik Prochak Drahuschak; a son, William Drahuschak of Houston; a daughter, Diana McClure of Alliance; two stepsons, Joseph Prochak of Spartanburg, S.C., and Mark Prochak of Windermere, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Marie Hermes of Vienna, Va.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Marie Balog Drahuschak, a sister and two brothers.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Kinnick Funeral Home, Youngstown, and also from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church, Youngstown, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.

Interment with military honors will follow at Belmont Park Cemetery in Liberty.
