Margaret M. Nash, 1915-2013

CHAMPION – Margaret M. Nash, 97, formerly of Akron, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Windsor House of Champion.

She was born Sept. 16, 1915, in Akron, to Fred and Emma Breyer Viningre.

Margaret retired from Ohio Edison after 35 years of service. She was an avid bowler well into her 80s, winning many trophies from Twin Star Lanes in Kent.

”Margaret was truly one of a kind. She loved a good drink, an off-color joke to make her laugh, and most of all she loved her family.”

She is survived by her son, Richard (Ann) Grafton of Warren; a daughter, Judy Byrer of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren Cynthia (Hans) Vance of Canal Fulton, Michael (Janet) Grafton of Columbus, Michelle (Jeff) Ruddle of Warren, Cathy (Pat) Kouvaris of Warren, Dawn Byrer of Taylor, Texas, and Christopher Byrer of Las Vegas; eight great-grandchildren; and the latest love of her life, her great-great-granddaughter, Abigail.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Nash.

Graveside services were held Wednesday in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield with Pastor Ken Gifford officiating.
