LEAVITTSBURG – Clara Hebert Bower, 87, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1925, the daughter of Frank Hebert and Georgia Hearn Hebert.
Clara was employed at Packard Electric as a mold operator for many years before retiring in 1982.
Clara enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her two sons, Lewis (Margaret) Bower of Leavittsburg and William Bower of Warren; three daughters, Leah (Bill) Kirkwood of Southington, Betty Yoho of Leavittsburg and Teri (Kevin) Saukko of Leavittsburg; two brothers, John Hebert and Huey (Caryl) Hebert, both of Forest Hill La.; a sister-in-law, Doris Hebert of Forest Hill La., 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded her in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis G. Bower, whom she married Feb. 11, 1946; her son-in-law, Kenneth Yoho; her daughter-in-law, Shirley Bower and six brothers
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at First Community Church of Leavittsburg, 4640 W. Market St., Leavittsburg. Friends may visit one hour prior.
Clara will be buried in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
