William C. Davies, 1950-2013
BRIMFIELD – William “Bill” C. Davies, 62, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna.
Bill was born Oct. 23, 1950, in Warren, the son of Robert and Gladys Mendenhall Davies.
Bill, formerly of Champion, has lived in Brimfield for the past three years.
Bill married the former Karen Jean Gintert on Jan. 25, 1975. They had been married for 38 blessed years.
Bill was a retired body shop manager and estimator.
Bill grew up in Leavittsburg, where he graduated high school. He was a member of the N.E. Christian Church in Bazetta.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, wife and grandchildren, and attending family functions. He also enjoyed coin collecting, golfing, basketball, football and baseball. He was an avid N.Y. Yankees fan.
Loving memories of Bill will be carried on by his wife, Karen Davies of Brimfield; daughter, Allison (Keith) Wilson of Rootstown; son, Bob (Betsy) Davies of Cumming, Ga.; sisters, Sherry (James) Upole of Newton Falls and Linda (Ron) Versic of Dayton; brothers, Robert (Edith) Davies of Cleveland and Rick (Denise) Davies of Leavittsburg; and grandchildren, Caden, Kelsey, Austyn and William.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, June B. Rule; and his best buddy, Mickey, his yellow Lab.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at James Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Newton Falls. The Rev. Calvin Mason will officiate.
Bill will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
