John J. Aquisto, 1932-2013
AUSTINTOWN – John J. Aquisto, 80, died Monday afternoon, July 29, 2013, at the Masternick Memorial Nursing Home in New Middletown following a brief illness.
He was born Dec. 18, 1932, in Blakley, Pa., the son of John and Anna Smith Aquisto.
Mr. Aquisto served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from Konica Quality Imaging Co. He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Austintown.
Survivors include his son, John J. Jr. of New Middletown; a daughter, Roseann Aquisto of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Genevieve Barbato of Youngstown; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Speerbrecher Aquisto.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15 a.m. today at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown and continue at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church in Austintown.
A committal service with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, where John will be laid to rest next to his wife.
