Elizabeth A. Pavlisen, 1925-2013
PHOENIX – Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Pavlisen, 88, formerly of Youngstown’s West Side, died Monday, July 29, 2013, in her sleep.
She was born April 6, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Karabin Brincko.
Betty had worked in the catering business and at U.S. Steel. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine Pavlisen of Phoenix, with whom she made her home, and a brother, John Brincko of Brookfield.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Pavlisen, two brothers and four sisters.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and continue with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Youngstown.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, where Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her husband.
A celebration of Betty’s life also will be held in Phoenix at a later date.
