Bermundy Sullivan 1928-2013
WARREN – Bermundy “Mundy” Sullivan, 85, passed away peacefully at Hospice House on June 13, 2013, following a lengthy illness.
Bermundy was born Jan.10, 1928, in Rices Landing, Pa., to Alex and Angela Matteucci.
She moved to Warren in 1946 and was employed by GE Ohio Lamp Plant for more than 40 years.
Bermundy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family the most but also loved playing bingo, playing slot machines and cheering for the New York Yankees.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Gordon) Griffiths and Jackie Sollitto, and grandsons Pete Sollitto, Steven and Neil Griffiths.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Sullivan; brothers, Lou, Carl, Renardo, Orlando and Felix Matteucci; and a sister, Edith Zelinsky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at St. James Worship Center, 2532 Burton St. S.E., Warren, where friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
Interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
