Jason L. Stuhldreher 1936-2013

NILES – Jason L. Stuhldreher, 77, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

He was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Ashland, the son of Chris and Ada Schaffer Stuhldreher.

Jason was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving this country from 1954 to 1956.

He was employed at General Motors for 14 years prior to working for Aurora Hydromatic as a machine shop operator until his retirement.

He will be dearly missed by his two sons, Jay (Annette) Stuhldreher of McDonald and Tim (Valerie) Stuhldreher of Austintown; four daughters, Debra (David) Fortune of McDonald, Kimberly Porter of McDonald, Beth (Ron) Digman of Mineral Ridge and Patty Stuhldreher of Lowellville; a sister, Janet Mangino of Delaware; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Jason was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Betty Sparr; a brother, Jack Stuhldreher; a sister, Joann Workman; seven great-grandchildren; and his parents.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday.

Interment will be at Kerr Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
