Burel Brown 1944-2013

WEATHERSFIELD – Burel Brown, 68, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at the St. Joseph Health Center.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1944, in Warren, the son of Roy and Eva Caudill Brown.

He attended Mineral Ridge High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

In the 1960s and 1970s he worked at Warren Slag then at Electric Equipment Company in Youngstown.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and enjoyed working on old cars and camping. He believed ”family is important” and cherished the time spent with family activities.

Burel is survived by his wife, Betty A. (Crisp) Brown, whom he married on Aug. 28, 1969; and three sisters, Lula Mae Barker of McDonald, Alice Jane Fultz of Niles and Carlen (Dave) Mascko of Niles. He was also very close with all of his many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Wes Cluckey will officiate.

Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.

Military honors will be provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard.
