Mamie L. Cheatham 1924-2013
YOUNGSTOWN – Mamie Lee Womack Cheatham, 88, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley.
She was born June 9, 1924, in Greensboro, N.C., the daughter of Gaither Lee and Martha Anne Elizabeth Maxwell Womack.
Mamie was a certified daycare teacher and a member of Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa R-Nay Newman of Youngstown; two sons, Rodney James and Keith Duane Cheatham, both of Youngstown; a stepson, Theodore Cheatham of Detroit; a sister, Corrine Brantley of Youngstown, eight grandchildren, 14 stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaneal Cheatham, a sister and three brothers.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Calvary Pentecostal Church, where friends may call for one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Belmont Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
