Carol H. Williams 1937-2013
HUDSON, Fla. – Carol H. Williams, 75, formerly of Warren, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born April 15, 1937, in Warren, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Kochera Harcarik.
A 1956 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Carol was briefly employed at Packard Electric, where she met her future husband, Floyd Williams. They were married Aug. 17, 1957.
Shortly after her marriage, Carol became a homemaker and crafter.
In 1986, Carol and her husband retired to Hudson, Fla., where Carol became a member of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America, Pasco County Chapter. She served several functions within the group, such as educational secretary and president of the local chapter. In 1995, her Blackwork Embroidery piece called “Spanish Lady” won grand prize in the embroidery category of the Pasco County Fair.
Survivors include her two sons, Terrance (Cathy) Williams of Vernon and Bill (Carol) Williams of Hudson, Fla.; a daughter, Jill Williams of Warren; a granddaughter, Erin (fiance Matthew Hunt) Williams of Orangeville; three brothers, Thomas (Angela) Harcarik of Warren, Robert Harcarik of Niles and Theodore (Shirley) Harcarik of Warren; and a sister, Dorothy Mance of Willoughby.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years; brothers, Joseph Harcarik and John (Jack) Harcarik; and sisters, Rosemarie Shinosky and Kathryn Swindler
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Hawley Cemetery in Paris Township.
