Judith Yuricek 1940-2013
HOWLAND – Judith Hart Yuricek, 72, lifelong resident of Warren and current Howland resident, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Summa Akron City Hospital after an extended illness.
Judy was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Warren, the daughter of Glayde Bane Hart and Robert L. Hart, a descendant of early settlers of Brookfield.
She was a 1958 graduate of Howland High School, a District Leader of the Lake to River Girl Scout Council as well as a 15-year troop leader, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Mary Chesney Chapter, an active volunteer for the Warren City Schools as well as a tax preparation volunteer for SCOPE.
She was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Her hobbies included playing computer games, reading, meeting friends, and playing cards and games with family. She shared her love of family and friends at the family cottage at Guilford Lake.
Judy is survived by her husband, John P. Yuricek; three daughters, Laura (Christian) Spear of Stow, Mass., Diane (Mark) Malson of Rossville, Ind., and Patricia Davis of Howland; one son, John (Marlo) Yuricek Jr. of Warren; five grandchildren, Brendan Davis, Alexandra Spear, Tyler Spear, Julia Malson and Samantha Malson; one brother, Robert (Darlene) Hart of Greenville; and one sister, Sandra (Raymond) Miller of Piqua.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive, Warren 44483. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in the SS. Cyril and Methodius site at 185 Laird Ave. N.E., Warren. Interment will follow in the All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
