Imogene Plumley 1924-2013

LISBON – Imogene ”Jean” Plumley, 88, of Guilford Lake, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, in her home.

She was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Glenmary, Tenn., the daughter of Franklin H. and Myrtle Newport Pemberton.

She retired from Brunks’ Home Place in Salem.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay Firme in Illinois, Lynda Barnett Fetterman of Winona, Bobbi Nosse Barnett of Middlefield, Michaelyn Rozeski of home and Heidi Sisco of East Rochester; a sister, Ernestine Cogdell of North Carolina; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orist O. Barnett; sons, Steven Michael Barnett and Robert D. Plumley Jr.; and six brothers and four sisters.

Burial will be in East Claridon Cemetery.
