Genevieve E. Patrick 1926-2013

HUBBARD – Genevieve E. “Gee Gee” Patrick, 86, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center from complications of COPD and emphysema.

Genevieve, known as “Gee Gee,” was born July 21, 1926, in Youngstown, the daughter of Oliver and Loretta Martin Lundeen.

She was a 1944 graduate of East High School, was a Bell telephone operator in Youngstown and worked at Valley Mould of Hubbard in the office.

She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, watching Notre Dame football, faith, family and friends.

Her husband, Joseph G. Patrick, whom she married June 17, 1950, passed away Jan. 21, 1998.

She will be sadly missed by her family, her sons, Gilbert (Sandy) Patrick of Greenville, S.C., and Martin (Mary) Patrick of Hubbard; her daughters, Lenora (Tony) Danta of Brookfield and Mary Jane (David) Pettola of Hubbard; nine grandchildren, Greg (Maureen) Patrick, Megan (Russell) Birch, Matthew (Jennifer) Patrick, Sara Pettola, David Pettola, Patrick Pettola, Daniel Pettola, Phillip Danta and Avianna Danta; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother, Thomas Lundeen of Youngstown.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Oliver and Bill Lundeen; and a special granddaughter, Katie Patrick Pickering.

There will be calling hours from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and prayers at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Timothy H. O’Neill officiating.

Genevieve will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Inn at Ironwood, Diane and Ed Reese and staff Norma Maritch for the wonderful care given to “Gee Gee.” A special thank-you to Dr. Sudhair Nallepannini and Dr. Digvijay Singh, her guardian angel.
