Patrick C. Scott 1911-2013

WARREN – Patrick C. Scott, 101, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his home.

Patrick was born May 12, 1911, in Niles, the son of George and Mary Peruzzi Scott.

He attended South High School and was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church.

Patrick was the owner of the Justruhon Club. He was a stage manager at the Palace Theater and Powers Auditorium, retiring at the age of 88. He was a member of Stage Hands Local 101, where he was the oldest living member of the IATSE of Ohio. Patrick was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He married his beloved Helen M. Debald on May 14, 1938, at St. Patrick’s Church. Before Helen’s passing Aug. 7, 2012, they were married 74 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Lt. Col. Ret. David G. (Marie) Scott of Lawton, Okla., Barbara J. (Edward) Salamon of Howland, Patricia D. (William) Schreiner of Ashburn, Va., Richard (Norah) Scott of Toledo and Teresa (John) Carano of Dublin, Ohio; a brother, John Scott of Youngstown; a sister, Marie Diorio of Canton; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, Patrick was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Scott Elson.

Friends may call from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Church, Youngstown, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday celebrated by the Rev. Edward P. Noga.

In lieu of flowers, Patrick’s family would like any memorial tributes to be given to St. Patrick’s Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, OH 44507.
