Eugene F. Vallozzi 1933-2012

LORDSTOWN – Eugene F. Vallozzi, 79, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at his residence of pneumonia.

Eugene was born March 29, 1933, in Youngwood, Pa., the son of Eugene and Henrietta Vallozzi, and came to Warren in 1961.

In 1997, Eugene retired from Copperweld Steel after 40 years, working in West Thermo Department.

He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Eugene’s wife, Mary Ann, preceded him in death July 2, 2006, after 48 years of marriage.

Eugene and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing at Kuzman’s and had many friends who will miss them.

He is loved and survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Vallozzi Lesniak; a son, Eugene (Janet) Vallozzi Jr.; two grandchildren, Lisa Lesniak and Dominic Vallozzi; six stepchildren, Jim (Anita) McGrath, Anita (Don) Jurkovic, Kathy (George) Rossi, John (Linda) McGrath, Ken (Linda) McGrath and Patty (Paul) Howard; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Eugene also had two surviving sisters, Virginia Cammarata and Anna Marie Wright, both of Pennsylvania.
