Dolores Wilson 1929-2013

NEWTON FALLS – Dolores Wilson, 83, entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren following a short illness.

Dolores was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of the late Harvey and May Flinn Mahannah, and had resided in the Warren area for 30 years.

She attended Sharon High School and had received her GED at the age of 68 and was the manager of Joann Fabrics for 20 years and of the Catholic Faith.

Dolores enjoyed fishing, sewing and crocheting, and made beautiful quilts and afghans for her family and friends in her spare time.

In 1981, Dolores was united into marriage with Lester Wilson and they had shared 14 years together, until his passing in 1995.

Her memory will be remembered and celebrated by those she leaves behind, her sons, Raymond Gross Jr. of Lake Milton, Jeffrey Gross and Bruce Gross, both of Bazetta Township, and George Gross of Florida; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Gross; three brothers; and two sisters.

Private family services will be held, and there will be no visitation.

The family would like to provide a very special thank you to the many friends at Newton Manor and at St. Joseph Health Center for their special help and comfort provided for Dolores in her time of need.
