Police activity reported Jan. 3-9:

Jan. 9, 6:31 p.m. — A single-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Stonewood and Cedar drives.

5:02 p.m. — An abandoned 911 call was received from a business in the 100 block of East Main Street. Officers checked the business and did not locate anyone.

4:06 p.m. — Domenic Bradley, 18, of Cortland, was issued a citation for a hit-skip accident that occurred in the 500 block of South High Street.

3:58 p.m. — A hit-skip accident was reported in the 500 block of South High Street.

10:23 a.m. — A repossession was reported in the 200 block of Market Street.

7:36 a.m. — Criminal mischief was reported in the 600 block of Cedar Drive.

Jan. 8, 9:53 p.m. — A suspicious white SUV was reported in a vacant lot on Ruth Avenue. Officers did not locate the vehicle.

10:29 a.m. — Severe weather reported in the area of Market Street, North High Street, Park Avenue and Bank Street. Later reports showed it to be a low-grade tornado. No injuries were reported.

Jan. 7, 5:5 8 p.m. — An argument was reported in the 200 block of Maplewood Drive. One resident agreed to leave for the night.

4:37 p.m. — Officers spoke to a resident in the 100 block of Dennis Drive in reference to a civil matter.

3:33 p.m. — Officers completed a death investigation in the 100 block of Winter Lane.

Jan. 6, 4:19 p.m. — A custody problem was reported in the 300 block of North Mecca Street.

9:21 a.m. — An unsecured property was found in the 400 block of Cherry Hill Lane.

Jan. 5, 6:39 p.m. — A commercial alarm was reported in the 5200 block of state Route 5. It was determined to be an employee error.

Jan. 4, 9 p.m. — Amanda R. Morar, 36, of Warren was arrested on a probation violation out of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in the 3200 block of Niles Cortland Road.

10:07 a.m. — Telephone harassment was reported in the 300 block of Charles Avenue.

Jan. 3, 10:01 p.m. — A suspicious vehicle was reported at a business in the 100 block of West Main Street. Officers checked the area and did not locate anything suspicious.

8:50 p.m. — Loud music was reported in the 200 block of West Main Street. A woman in a vehicle was advised to lower the volume and complied.

6:30 p.m. — Assisted Cortland Fire Department / EMS with a medical emergency in the 100 block of Turquoise Drive.

1:29 p.m. — Officers were called to a business in the 200 block of South High Street for a man kicking the ATM machine. Jeffery D. Patterson, 59, of Cortland, was issued a trespass warning and advised not to return to the business.

1:07 p.m. — A reckless red truck was reported in the 600 block of South High Street. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

12:45 p.m. — Criminal mischief was reported in the 1100 block of Cortview Drive.

12:30 p.m. — Menacing was reported in the 100 block of West Main Street.

10:30 a.m. — Officers spoke to a subject in reference to a civil matter.
