Police activity reported Aug. 4-23:

Aug. 23, 6:33 p.m. — Custody problem reported at 3911 Highland Ave.

Aug. 20, 6:30 a.m. — Subject pursuit reported on Hewitt Gifford Road SW after police pursued a driver in a truck that had driven through a hole cut in a fence off state Route 5, Newton Falls. The truck, which drove through several stop signs and yards, had stolen steel and aluminum engine blocks.

Aug. 19, 2:04 p.m. — Officers assisted another police department in trying to locate a man hiding in bushes at 3225 Tod Ave. SW. Police were unable to locate man.

Aug. 18, 5:18 p.m. — Animal complaint reported at 2851 Silver Fox Drive after a sick raccoon with one eye was drooling on the side of the yard.

Aug. 17, 9:56 p.m. — Criminal damage and disturbance reported at 3990 Housel Dr.

Aug. 16, 4:15 p.m. – Menacing reported at 5120 Tod Ave. after a man was being harassed and threatened by two other men at work.

1:03 p.m. –Suicide attempt with minor injuries reported at 2376 Salt Springs Road.

6:51 a.m. — Disturbance reported in 2300 block of Hallock Young Road after an incident at entrance of GM plant.

Aug. 15, 9:47 p.m. — Criminal trespassing reported at 2376 Salt Springs Road after unwanted subject under the influence tried to get inside home and was banging on doors and windows. Police told the man to leave.

8:30 p.m. — Identity theft reported at 1971 Chester Ave. after woman reported trying to remove inappropriate photos from an Instagram account.

7:28 p.m. — Domestic violence reported at 1583 Salt Springs Road after a man grabbed a woman by her hair.

1:46 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Ellsworth Bailey Road after woman reported female juvenile passenger in car was acting violently, screaming and kicking. The girl was taken to the hospital.

Aug. 14, 6:19 p.m. — Dogs running loose reported in the 800 block of Salt Springs Road.

5:23 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at 3490 Layer Road SW.

Aug. 12, 3:47 p.m. — Officers assisted Warren Township police at 1680 Tod Ave. SW after the occupant of a vehicle fled on foot.

Aug. 5, 9:16 a.m. — Property damage reported at 2588 Pritchard Ohltown Road after a mailbox was damaged by a vehicle.

Aug. 4, 9:26 p.m. — Telephone harassment reported at 3500 Cardinal Drive after resident received several threatening phone calls.
