Five-day celebration set for Robbins Ave. grounds

Lunch served each day; prizes include Disney trip

NILES –The Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish summer festival will be held today to Sunday at the church grounds, 381 Robbins Ave.

Joe Merlo, festival chairman, said the event will include amusement rides, games, bingo, musical entertainment, and the popular food.

He said the food will include everything from pizza, twists and cheese puffs to sausage sandwiches and desserts.

Each day lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the festival runs 5 to 11 p.m.

The festival will also hold a raffle with prizes including a 2017 GMC all-wheel drive, an all expense paid trip for six people to Disney World, and $25,000 cash.

A wine taste contest is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Bocce is 5 to 11 p.m. today to Friday and noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Musical entertainment is Guys without Ties 7 to 11 p.m. today, Cugini Italian Band 7 to 11 p.m. Thursday, Cin City and the Saints 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Northern Whiskey 7:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and Nunzio and Edward Italian Band 5 to 7 p.m. and Dominic Tocco and the Brotherhood Band 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sunday.
