Wolves Club recognizes students

HOWLAND — The Trumbull County Chapter of the National Association of Wolves Club recently awarded $24,000 in scholarships to eight Trumbull County High School seniors.

Each student was presented $3,000 scholarships each at the annual dinner held at Leo’s Ristorante.

David Leo, scholarship chairman, said the Wolves is an Italian professional organization tracing its ideals of learning, discovery and public service to the founding of ancient Rome.

Leo said the Trumbull County Wolves has awarded $472,550 over the past 32 years to 268 students and the Wolves Club of Ohio and Pennsylvania have awarded more than six million in their 54 years of existence.
