WHAT: Township trustee meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Ramon French, Doug Seemann, and Mark Webb

Trustees:

• Heard from Township Supervisor Greg Maraczi that ditching has started on Miller South East and West and Housel Craft roads and culvert head walls have been poured for Mahan Denman with projects to be completed after school is out;

• Announced a meeting with the county engineer’s office is set Wednesday to discuss Issue 1 funding for a portion of Housel Craft Road;

• Approved $5,391 to Cerni Motor Sales for repairs to the ambulance;

• Approved $5,990 to Hudson Communications for parts and labor for lighting on the fire chief’s Tahoe;

• Heard from resident Chrissy Ash that a total of 15 vendors signed up for the farmer’s market May 11 at the center . Vendors selling produce needed, she said;

• Accepted the letter of resignation of Julia Passek-Mahan from the zoning board of appeals;

• Changed the next meeting to 7 p.m. May 6 due to Election Day on May 7;

• Received a notice from the Trumbull County Engineer’s Office that the weight limit on the bridge on Oakfield North, north of Hyde Oakfield, have been reduced to 15 tons for 2-axle, 22 tons for 3-axle and 24 tons for 4-axle. Signs have been posted;

• Reported a conditional use application will be presented to the zoning board of appeals concerning the electronic sign in the township park;

• Announced Tim Pleso will be leading the Memorial Day services on May 27 with event set for 9:30 a.m. at Sager Cemetery, 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery and 10:30 a.m. at township park;

• Set township cleanup day for 8 a.m. to noon May 4. The township is accepting up to eight tires per household with proof of residency. No hazardous waste materials or household garbage being accepted;

• Received a letter from the zoning commission after reviewing the placement of a temporary hunting trailer, stating they have found the trailer is not listed in the zoning resolution. Trustees are requiring zoning guidelines be added to any zoning certificate letter for new residents or returning residents.
