On the record – Lordstown

WHAT: Village council meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Robert Bond, Karen Jones, Lamar Liming, Ron Radtka, Donald Reider, Howard Sheely and Mayor Arno Hill

Council:

• Heard from Village Engineer Chris Kogelnik that testing is being done on the warning siren on Highland Avenue near the railroad tracks;

• Heard about the recycling bins needing separate areas for paper, cardboard and glass. Hill said glass is no longer being accepted. He also said because some residents are placing garbage and not recyclables in the bins, the bins may be taken away since the Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District is not emptying them when garbage is in them;

• Approved using CT Consultants at a cost not to exceed $4,000 for site plan review services.
