NEWTON FALLS — The Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting 8 a.m. Monday in the board’s conference room.

The board will be discussing placing an income tax levy on the May 7 ballot and action is expected to be taken, according to a meeting notice from district treasurer Julie Sloan.

The five-year levy is expected to generate approximately $2.3 million annually for operating expenses.
