Bazetta to review coverage options

BAZETTA — An insurance committee will be reviewing two health / medical insurance options at 9 a.m. today at township hall before making a recommendation to the township trustees.

During a special meeting this week, Trustee Chairman Ted Webb said trustees heard presentations from Teamsters TeamCare and Vantage Group of Cleveland, both of which can provide savings to the township. He said medical insurance savings to the township can range between $60,000 and $130,000.

Webb said the committee will review the pros and cons of the two companies and likely will have a recommendation by Tuesday’s trustee meeting.

He said the township is planning to withdraw from Jefferson Health Plan, which ends Dec. 31.
