WHAT: Township trustee meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Sam Plott, Cindy Speaker and Dan Tietz

Trustees:

• Approved J.D. Farmer Plumbing at $3,940 for installing new underground waterline on the driveway between the town hall and the furnace room;

• Approved payment of $24,902 to Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office for chip-and-seal work on roads at $36,619 to Suit-Kote in New York for tar emulsion used for spraying roads;

• Are asking residents to make sure their house numbers are visible for safety and emergency crews to locate homes, mostly at night. Some sign numbers have become illegible. Plott said reflective signs of $10 to $15 are available by calling fire department at 330-898-6424 or zoning office at 330-889-2001;

• Learned that because a 1-mill continuous replacement fire levy passed Nov. 6, another 1-mill levy, first approved in 1984, will be removed;

• Are seeking residents interested in filling openings on the zoning commission, zoning appeals board and water / sewer board. Those interested can contact a trustee by Dec. 12;

• Announced Christmas tree lighting 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the center and holiday open house at Chalker Building 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 8.
