Babysitter charged with child endangerment
WARREN — A babysitter has been charged with three counts of child endangering after police said they were unsupervised for about three hours Tuesday evening.
Anastasia Magee, 20, pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court and was released on bond, court and jail records show.
Police were called around 4:45 p.m. to 423 Southern Blvd. NW by Tara Wheatley, reporting that her three children were missing, according to a police report.
Officers serached for the children while one spoke with Magee, according to the report. Upon talking with Magee, officers learned the children had been unsupervised for about three hours, according to the report.
The report does not state why the children were left alone.
The children, ages 5, 6, and 9, were found almost an hour later on North Leavitt Road, near the old Circle K, by their older brother who confirmed the children were safe, according to the police report.
Police returned to the children’s house where they arrested Magee and booked her in the Trumbull County Jail on three counts of endangering children.
Magee is due back in court Dec. 11, court records show.
