Fulfills dream of being a teacher, having a school

WARREN — When she was a teen, Kimberly Clinkscale of Warren dreamed of being a teacher and having a school.

Today, she serves as director of Shepherd of All God’s Children and Hope Academy for Autism on Niles Road in Warren.

Clinkscale was recognized by family, friends and the community at a recent recognition dinner held at Monument of Faith Church.

Vonda Douglas, sister of Clinkscale, said her sister always loved children.

“I remember she wanted to run a school. Today she has a school. We tell her God is behind you, so continue what you are doing,” she said.

Douglas said Clinkscale does more than run the school. She also helps the students and their families. She has been with Shepherd of All God’s Children for 26 years.

The Rev. Kent Barnes of One Nation Kingdom Ministries, said Clinkscale “has done a tremendous amount of work for the Warren community through her service.”

Clinkscale said it is an honor to be recognized but thanked those who help her each day to help children and families.

Shepherd of All God’s Children is a faith-based child care facility in Warren that provides child care and after-school services to low-income families.
