Woman jailed after fight at family reunion
WARREN — A woman is being held on a $15,000 bond at the Trumbull County Jail after a woman at a family reunion at Packard Park was hit over the head with a chair and nearly stabbed with a fork, according to police and court records.
Jac’Quita Ervin, 29, Commerce Avenue NW, pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court to a charge of felonious assault, according to court records.
Police were called just after 3 p.m. Sunday to the park after Ciara Goliday, 26, Berkshire Drive SE, was transported by family members to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, according to the report. Goliday was bleeding “badly” after she was struck by the chair, was disoriented and had a hard time remembering her name and birthday, the report states.
Ervin told police she was mad at Goliday after the two spoke about “relationships,” according to the report. Ervin also is being held on traffic warrants from 2014, court records show.
