One dead in two-vehicle crash
BROOKFIELD — One person died Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 62, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. on U.S. Route 62 at Bedford Road when a 2001 Ford Windstar hit a 2014 Mack truck that didn’t stop at a stop sign, a press release states.
Stephen Styranec, 48, of Struthers, the driver of the truck, was taken to Sharon Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the van, Linda Tinelli, 75, of Hubbard, was transported to Sharon Regional with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in the van, Blaine Tinelli, 80, of Hubbard, also was taken to Sharon Regional, where he died. The crash remains under investigation.
