WARREN — A downtown coffee shop and a pizza parlor were broken into in similar ways, according to police reports.

Someone used a piece of asphalt to bust a front door window at Coffee Cup Cafe, 631 E. Market St., and a rock was used to break a rear door at Belleria Pizza, 3511 Youngstown Road SW, the reports state. People arriving at the restaurants between 7:30 and 8 a.m. Thursday reported the break-ins.

At the coffee shop, the cash register, which had about $5 in change was stolen, the report states. Damage to the window is estimated at $200. At the pizza shop, missing was the restaurant’s online order tablet valued at $200. The register was gone through, but it was left empty from the night before, the report states.
