WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday

PRESENT: Tim Gibson, Virginia Blaney, Diane Duncan, Gary Morton and Russell Sewell

The board:

• Approved Great Lakes Biomedical of Perrysburg for student drug testing for high school students who take part in athletics, band and have parking passes to drive to school. Gibson said the testing is random for grades ninth to 12th. This is the third year for the testing. Superintendent Anthony Calderone said drug testing costs the district $5,000 per year;

• Re-approved Chad Kiser as assistant athletic director on one-year contract;

• Approved continued membership with the Ohio Coalition for Equity and Adequacy of School Funding for 2018-19 at $536 based on 1,072 students in the district.
