WHAT: Township trustee meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Paul Hovis, Frank Parke and Ted Webb

Trustees:

• Promoted Corey Burns and Zach Dzurinda to full-time patrolman effective July 1. Burns was sworn in by Chief Michael Hovis and Dzurinda will be sworn in at a later date;

• Received a letter from resident Glen Blamut about the water pumps at the cemetery not working. Road Supervisor Chris Parke said he will check into how to correct the problem with the old fashioned water pump handles;

• Discussed possibly looking into a curbside recycling program for residents after the township had to close the recycling bins because of problems with people throwing garbage and non-recyclables in them. Several other communities have also faced problems and shut their sites down. Webb said talks on recycling options are preliminary.
