Newton Falls names Julie Sloan as school treasurer
NEWTON FALLS — The Newton Falls Board of Education Thursday named Bristol resident Julie Sloan as the district’s new treasurer, retroactive to Monday.
Sloan, who most recently served as assistant treasurer for Champion schools for about four years, was granted a two-year contract at $60,000. She also had served as assistant treasurer for four years with the Trumbull County Educational Service Center.
Jonathan Pusateri of Mogadore, who had served as treasurer since last fall, is leaving today for a physical support specialist position with Stark / Portage Area Computer Consortium, or SPARCC, in Stark County to assist other treasurers.
The board approved Pusateri to serve as an interim treasurer on an as-needed basis to assist Sloan.
