Lordstown approves union contract
LORDSTOWN — The school board has approved a tentative three-year agreement with the district’s 28 classified workers in the Ohio Association of Public School Employees.
Treasurer Mark Ferrara said the union, which approved the agreement June 13, will receive 2 percent pay increases in each of the next three years. The agreement will cost the district $18,000 per year. The union represents maintenance workers, secretaries, cooks and bus drivers.
The board also approved 2 percent pay increases for the next three years for Pat Hogan, the superintendent’s secretary, and Melissa Rakich, accounts receivable clerk. They are non-union employees.
