‘Adult’ club opens in Warren

Video viewing will be for members only

WARREN — A new members-only business, 900 Pine Club, has opened at 900 Pine Ave. SE, which on its website describes itself as an adult theater with dark rooms, music and couple-only voyeur areas.

The 3,903-square-foot building was issued a certificate of occupancy as an exhibition hall by the city’s building official, Christopher A. Tanneyhill, on April 20. According to its permit, the business will not have food or drink consumption in the building.

In an April 15 request for certificate of occupancy, Mark White of Pro-Mechanical Group LLC wrote that prior to his leasing the building, the site was used as a medical retail / wholesale supplier and a credit union.

“I intend to use the property as a private social club,” White wrote.

On its zoning use approval application, White noted the use of the building will be for “premise viewing of adult videos for members only.”

On its website, it was noted the club has 75-inch high definition televisions in its viewing areas where clients may view their adult videos. Also on the website, the establishment notes it is a swingers club where “singles and couples are welcome to come explore their sexuality” and is a hybrid sex club where “singles and couples can come and enjoy our facility for just $10.”

According to the Trumbull County auditor website, the building is owned by Sabatine BK Development LLC, 1305 Boardman Canfield Road, Youngstown. It was purchased from Warren Niles Republic in December 2013 for $52,500.

Sabatine BK Development LLC, according to its incorporation papers, was formed “…to acquire, develop and market real estate and do such lawful activities as desired by its members,” according to the Ohio Secretary of State website.

Efforts to reach Warren Mayor Doug Franklin and Safety Service Director Enzo Cantalamessa were not successful.

Because no food or drinks are expected to be served in the building, the city’s health department is not required to inspect the premises, according to Warren Deputy Health Commissioner Robert Pinti.
