Kindergarten readiness grant awarded to LaBrae
LEAVITTSBURG — The LaBrae Local School District has received a $2,686 Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley Grant from the Kennedy Family Fund designated for the district’s summer Bounce into Bascom Elementary program.
Bascom Elementary is entering its third year of conducting its kindergarten transition program for students entering kindergarten in the fall. Students in the program attend the three week, half-day program designed to provide students an early start in developing the skills necessary for success in kindergarten. Instruction is provided by two Bascom Elementary teachers.
