Crime victims vigil set in Warren

WARREN — Parents of Murdered Children will hold a Crime Victims Vigil 7 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, 309 North Park Ave. The event will honor those who have lost their lives to violence.

The speaker will be Magistrate Anthony Sertick of Austintown. Music will be by Cheri Manners.

Lordstown schools host policy forum

LORDSTOWN — Lordstown High School will host an Education Policy Community Forum 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The event will be facilitated by Ohio Board of Education Districy 7 member Sarah Fowler and include discussion on state education policy, state report cards, state board strategic plan and other major education topics pending at the state level.

Also scheduled is Melanie Elsey, the Christian Home Educators of Ohio legislative liaison.

Recycle at Tribune for Earth Day

WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle’s annual Earth Day free recycling and shredding event is set for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

The event will be in the rear parking lot of the newspaper, at the corner of Vine Avenue SE and South Street SE. Residents may bring their paper products to the parking lot, where there will be a drive-through dropoff.

In addition, Protect-n-Shred of Cortland will be available 9 a.m. to noon. Residential shredding is limited to four containers weighing a maximum 20 pounds each.
