Warren man arrested after argument over CD player

WARREN — A city man remained at the Trumbull County Jail Friday evening after pleading not guilty to a charge of domestic violence.

Christopher Botley, 22, of Fifth Street SW, made his initial appearance in Warren Municipal Court Friday morning following his arrest around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, court and jail records show. He is due back in court March 13.

Cyganna Ramey, 28, told police Botley pushed and shoved her during an argument over her using his CD player, according to a police report. Ramey said Botley hit her with a door when he slammed it in her face, the report states.

However, the police report states it was Botley who had scrapes and was bleeding on his knuckles and forearms. He told police he had been hitting his door, which caused the injuries.
