WHAT: Board of Education meeting Wednesday
PRESENT: Tarin Brown, Michele Garman, Tom Gifford, Jim Pegg and Rex Rager
• Heard from Superintendent Lew Lowery that the Currie Elementary School water filtration pilot system mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency checking for arsenic levels has recently found the arsenic and iron levels are below normal readings, with manganese levels being checked for being a little higher. The project cost the district $15,000;
• Approved an agreement with Eastern Gateway Community College for the College Credit Plus program for one year for high school students to earn college credit while in high school;
• Approved the varsity and junior varsity softball teams’ trip to Akron, April 21 and 22.
