Hubbard council approves zoning change for Circle K expansion

HUBBARD — City council on Monday gave the final approval needed for Circle K to undergo a $3.5 million expansion and improvement project at its property at Hager Street and West Liberty Street.

The change will rezone the property from residential to convenience commercial and allow for adding a gas pump island in front and more green space while demolishing the current building to construct a 4,400-square-foot store.

Officials said the business has been in the city for 50 years across from the municipal building.

No one spoke for or against the zone change at the public hearing Monday, officials said.
