Falls man goes back to prison
WARREN — A Newton Falls man was sent back to prison for nine months Thursday after he pleaded guilty to an escape charge involving him not reporting to his parole officer.
Nicholas J. Roberts Jr., 36, appeared before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Ronald J. Rice, who sent the man back to prison for the second time in three years. In February 2016, Rice sentenced Roberts to one year in prison on a domestic violence conviction, court records show.
After being paroled for that conviction, Roberts failed to report to his parole officer on Jan. 17, 2018, according to Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Michael Burnett.
