Warren man in court, accused in stabbing
WARREN — A Warren man who police said stabbed a man and tried to stab his daughter is being held in the Trumbull County Jail without bond following his first appearance in court Monday.
Shawn T. Flowers, 51, faces charges of felonious assault and failure to comply with a police officer in Warren Municipal Court that stem from a report Thursday that a man pulled a knife and started swinging it at people at a home on Porter Street NE.
Because the charges are felonies, a not guilty plea was entered automatically for Flowers, who, according to court records, is due back on Thursday.
Flowers, 1205 Dover Ave. SW, was arrested on a warrant Friday during a traffic stop after he was spotted by police, whom he led on a short car chase before stopping his vehicle.
He is accused stabbing of Christian Ta’Jehvon Lampkin, 27, and trying to stab his own daughter, Shawmane R. Flowers, 24, at 184 Porter St. NE.
Flowers was also cited with operation / disregard of safety, a moving violation, according to court records.
