Police training in Niles

The Attorney General’s Office provides officers driving safety training with the simulator and they came to the Wellness Center this week to let Niles city police officers use it. Daniel Pastor, law enforcement training officer for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, said the simulator provides officers with a variety of scenarios that test their ability to multitask, navigate turns and use mobile data terminals while driving. More than 8,000 officers have received the free training since it was introduced five years ago.
