WHAT: Board of Education meeting Thursday

PRESENT: Debra Davis, Amie Crowder, Ken Kline, Brent Powell and Jennifer Urbania

The Board:

• Approved a new policy requiring parents to show their driver’s license when registering a child for kindergarten;

• Approved the disposal of three floor scrubbers, 46 broken chairs, three broken desks, a broken large fan, and 80 government books from 1986 that are no longer needed for school purposes and valued at less than $10,000;

• Named Gara Fawver as ninth-grade cheerleading advisor; Marisa Toensing and Brooke Barreca, both junior high track coaches; and James Ewell as cafeteria van driver.
