Food pantries to open at city schools

WARREN — Warren City Schools, in partnership with the United Way of Trumbull County and Second Harvest Food Bank, will be opening a Raider Pantry at Jefferson PK-8 and Willard PK-8 schools.

The pantries will provide students, and their families, with food and personal care items they might not otherwise be able to access.

Warren Schools Superintendent Steve Chiaro said Mercy Health St. Joseph Warren Hospital has committed to help stock each pantry with various personal care items.

The school district opened its first Raider Pantry at Warren G. Harding High School in September.

A preview of the Willard PK-8 School Raider Pantry and the official opening of both pantries will take place 6 p.m. Tuesday at the school board meeting at Willard PK-8 School, 2020 Willard Ave. SE
